August 27, 2026 · Tags: Desktop, Improvements ## Add Extra Charges to Purchase & Sales Orders You can now add costs that fall outside the item price, such as shipping, handling, or packaging fees, to your purchase and sales orders. August 18, 2026 · Tags: Desktop, Improvements ## Roll Back Any Custom Report with Version History Every edit you make to a [Custom Analytics](https://www.boxhero.io/docs/other-features/custom-analytics.md) report — whether through the **AI Assistant** or by editing the SQL yourself — is now saved as a **version**. August 4, 2026 · Tags: Desktop, Improvements ## Add a Footer to Purchase Orders & Invoices You can now add a [footer](https://www.boxhero.io/docs/key-features/purchase-and-sales.md#a.-print-layout) to your purchase orders and invoices. The footer is a fixed block of text that appears at the bottom of every printed or emailed document. Line breaks and spacing are supported, so you can format the footer as needed — including a signature or approval line. August 4, 2026 · Tags: Desktop, Improvements ## Price List Improvements Two changes to [Price Lists](https://www.boxhero.io/docs/key-features/purchase-and-sales.md#price-lists): items that aren't in a list now use their default prices instead of showing 0, and you can save an edited price back to the list from the order screen. ![](https://assets.boxhero.io/docs/images/b0a90f4d9e050f2bed772510744d82f29281680af4435cc5e4354157193b2d6d-2010x1207.jpg) #### What's New - **Default prices for items not in a list.** When you apply a price list to an order, any item that isn't in that list now uses the cost or selling price from its item details. Previously, these items showed a unit price of 0. - **Save a price back to the list.** If a unit price you enter differs from the one saved in the applied list, an update icon (🔄) appears next to the field. Click it to save the current price to the list. July 16, 2026 · Tags: Desktop, Improvements ## Send Orders in Your Partner's Language When you're dealing with overseas partners, orders that only print or email in the sender's language can be hard for the recipient to read. Now you can **save a preferred language for each supplier or customer**, and BoxHero uses it automatically whenever you print or email that partner's purchase or sales orders. Choose the language you want that partner's documents to go out in. - **Applies to printing and email.** The saved language is used when you print or email a purchase order or sales order for that partner. - **Keep the default if you'd rather.** Leave the field set to `Default` and documents go out in the sender's screen language, exactly as before. - **Supported in Excel bulk import.** When you register partners in bulk via Excel, you can include a language column. When designing barcode labels, you can add an image element and **link it directly to each item's saved photo**. June 10, 2026 · Tags: API, New Releases ## Open API: SKU Support and New Endpoints The [BoxHero Open API](https://www.boxhero.io/docs/developers.md) now lets you work with items by SKU alone (no internal `item_id` required), and manage purchase orders, sales orders, returns, bundles, and price lists directly through the API. #### What's New - **Work by SKU:** New `by-sku` routes to look up, update, and delete items (e.g. `/v1/items/by-sku/{sku}`), plus `item_sku` / `bundle_sku` support in request bodies. - **Purchase & Sales Orders:** Create and manage orders, change status, and receive or ship stock — partially or all at once. - **Returns:** Manage returns and receive returned stock, with lookup by return number (`by-number`). - **Bundles:** Full CRUD, lookup by SKU, and components referenced by SKU. - **Price Lists:** Create, update, and delete price lists, separated by purchase and sales type. The new AI Assistant writes the SQL for you, runs it, and shows the results. --- #### What's New - No SQL knowledge required. Type a question, get a working query. - The assistant panel opens automatically when you create a new query. - Generated queries can be edited, saved, and reused like any other query. #### How to Use It 1. Go to `Reports` > `Custom Analytics` > `+ New`. 2. Type your question in the assistant panel. For example: - _"Items below safety stock levels"_ - _"What hasn't sold in the last 90 days?"_ - _"Top 10 SKUs by units sold this month"_ 3. Review the results to confirm they match what you expect. 4. Select `Save` to keep the query for future use. We've added a `My Task Sheets` shortcut so you can skip straight to your assigned work. No more tapping through multiple screens from the **Inventory Count** to get there. The shortcut only appears when you have a sheet assigned to you, so the home screen stays clean for everyone else. April 28, 2026 · Tags: Mobile, Improvements ## Drafts Move to the Home Screen We've moved saved drafts to the home screen so you can pick up where you left off — without hunting for them. #### What's New - Saved drafts that used to be at the top of the **Stock In** / **Stock Out** tab now appear directly on the **home screen**. - You'll see a **red number badge** showing how many are waiting (including drafts saved by other team members). - If there are no drafts, the `Drafts` menu is hidden from the home screen.
